Managing Director

Alex Breingan is the big cheese of Stripe Media, and has almost two decades of media experience. Alex is Executive Producer of TV3’s daily morning show The Café, and Co-Founder of television network Choice TV. Alex was formerly Channel Manager for SKY’s Food TV and Living Channel.

Prior to that, he spent 15 years in radio including time as Mediaworks Radio Operations Manager, and Assistant Programme Director for both More FM and RadioLIVE. He began his career in the mid-90s in UK commercial radio, and later as a producer at the BBC working with Jools Holland, before moving to NZ in 2002.

Rachel Hart

Operations Director – Stripe Media and Stripe Productions

As a former TV and Radio news journalist, reporter and presenter, Rachel has almost 20 years media experience. She launched Stripe Productions after spending 10+ years working for Mediaworks at TV3 and Radio, with roles including TV Reporter and Foreign Producer for 3News, and radio newsreader across many Mediaworks’ radio stations. Rachel was senior producer for TV3 show The Café and helped launch Choice TV. In London, Rachel read the news to an audience of two million and has an Honours degree in Journalism.

Kris McFarlane

Media Manager

Kris is Stripe Media’s resident media planning and strategy guru. He brings more than 13 years’ experience in media planning and buying across all platforms through his work in two of the largest multi-platform media companies in New Zealand. Kris’s knowledge of implementing strategies and diversifying the budget to best reach the target audience has delivered scores of success for his customers.

Alvin Maharaj

Account Manager

Alvin brings a flair for account management to Stripe Media with his drive to understand and provide tailored solutions that meet his customers’ needs.

Alvin has a unique understanding of the TV media channel from both the sales side, having previously worked in sales at TV3, and the creative side of TV shows and advertisements, appearing as an actor both nationally and internationally.

Richard Lee, with an accounts background Richard is all about the numbers!

As Stripe Media’s Asian business expert, Richards contacts and relationships are second to none.

Mandarin and English speaker Richard manages the business, media and advertising for some of Stripe Media’s key accounts.

Hope Groucott

Hope runs Stripe Media’s office and she’s really good at it!

5 years in the office in Perth at a mining company set her up to handle a bunch of media people and make sure they fill in paperwork and more importantly look after their clients.

Alex Gilbert

Production Assistant

Alex was part of the launch team at Choice TV. A graduate of South Seas Film and TV School, he is an expert Camera Operator and Post Production Editor. Alex is part of Three’s morning show ‘The Cafe’ Production team and has been working with Stripe Media since 2015.

Alice Harris

Fresh out the New Zealand Broadcasting School in Christchurch, Alice has joined the Stripe team as an intern to learn all aspects of TV production.
She is a member of our production team and assistant floor manager for “The Café”.

Moira Powell

Moira has almost twenty years experience in the television industry in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand, band more recently as a television editor and recently a Project Manager for large multilingual projects in the UK.  Her list of credits are extensive and include a number of international programmes.
Moira’s knowledge of all aspects of film and tv production is invaluable for all clients looking to create the perfect video content, whether it’s for broadcast or social media.
And she makes a mean carrot cake too!

Merril Thompson

Merril Thompson has extensive account manager experience from a long career at TVNZ. Merril is our expert on product integration and promotion for The Café show. Merril can take small budgets and achieve big things!

 

Mike Puru

Mike Puru, is one of the most recognised faces in the NZ Media industry.
For close to 20 years Mike anchored The Edge breakfast show (with Jay-Jay and Dom) and On TV He hosted the first 2 seasons of The Bachelor New Zealand.
Mike along with Mel Homer presents The Café Monday – Friday from 9am on THREE, which is in its third season in 2018.
Away from the camera Mike is much in-demand MC and public speaker.
With such a key presenting role on The Café and a broad base of experience in TV and Radio, Mike is perfectly placed in Stripe Media’s TV and Radio integration team.

Jodi Lister

Jodi Lister has an extensive media and advertising agency background in New Zealand, Australia and Kuala Lumpur. Her ability to analyse a client’s objectives and find tailor made solutions for their media requirements makes Jodi a key member of the Stripe Media Team.

Emma Thomas runs Stripe Media in Australia. Accomplished revenue builder, yield manager & negotiator with proven sales results. Adept at thinking on her feet, Emma is passionate in driving better than expected outcomes for all stake holders. Emma hunts and builds revenue for startups & existing businesses, either by leading and coaching an existing team or hands-on, she brings proactive solutions and direction to the table so she can make things happen, quickly and efficiently.
